I was debating this pattern for a while. I love to make large dolls and plushes, especially cozy-looking ones that could double as cute decorations. This was an easy download; an extra PDF shows how the pieces would look together (and could probably double as a pattern for a much smaller doll). The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I recommend doll-making as an awesome coping mechanism. Creating something with your hands has magic and psychological healing properties and I'm so grateful to everyone who provides their patterns for people to try!

I make stuff so you can make stuff.

Sometimes it is not the THING but the making of it that the magic is born.

Hand-crafted toys carry the magic of their maker in them.

I still remember seeing my first handmade doll. My aunt crafted ‘cabbage patch’ dolls for all the nieces around my age. I was beyond elated, but two momentous things happened that day…

First, I felt seen and loved in a way I had not felt before.

Second, my brain went into overdrive with ideas as I stared at the marvellous dolls. It was my first moment of 'possibility'.

I fiercely believe in making and its power to share love.

Which is why I share the patterns that I have created. Most of my designs were created for my own little loves and began as pieced-together newspapers - often on the eve before Christmas or birthdays. Eventually, I learned to create them into printable digital patterns to share with others. I design my patterns with the eager novice in mind, highlighting every detail in hopes of encouraging them to achieve all their wildest playful making dreams.
