WHY FLAX?
I have learned a lot about flax, and here's why it's my first choice to fill my heat packs. Flax contains oil in each compressed seed. Each seed holds 30%-40% oil. So, unlike rice, wheat or other choices, the flax wont dry out. This is why you can continuously reheat.
Flax promotes healing. With warm flax, your muscles will relax, and the flax will help to relieve pain, especially those who suffer from arthritis, sciatica, menstrual cramps, and muscle cramping. If you are currently in physiotherapy, moist heat is what they tell you to use for pain relief.

WHAT ABOUT COLD FLAX?
When you place a pack in the freezer, the flax freezes nicely. It comes our dry, the seeds are loose and ready to use. It holds a very cold temperature for about half the time they hold their heat. I like to use mine for migraines. They feel great draped over your forehead or the back of your neck! Freeze the pack for a few hours, and enjoy the cool relief.

PLEASE NOTE THAT FLAX CANNOT GET WET, therefore the packs not washable.
If the flax gets wet, it will soften and go mushy. If you need to clean your pack, you can spot wash only with a damp cloth.

HOW LONG DO THE PACKS STAY HOT/COLD FOR?
Here is guide to the length of time each product from my shop lasts:

Large Packs:
Heat - Up to 5 hours
Cold - 3 hours

Square Packs /Heart Packs:
Heat - Up to 4 hours
Cold - 2 hours

Neck Wraps:
Heat - Up to 2.5 hours
Cold - 1.5 hours

Eye Pillows:
Heat - Up to 1 hour
Cold - 45 mins - 1 hour

Hand Warmers:
Heat - Up to 1 hour
Cold - 45 mins - 1 hour
