I've seen a lot of sensorshilp threads lately, what with the new rules. We've just gotten too big for our britches and now it's hell to pay. Lots of the old sellers are gonna leave because it just aint the same old etsy. Can we save it or will it morph into something not so good? Not sure how to phrase it.

Well I'm brand new, so hopefully people don't start leaving. I don't think etsy means to cause distractions in artists work, it's just a precaution... besides, you can still go see the actual piece with no censorship in the artists store. Personally, the fact that I can't see nudity (or whatever) in the preview isn't going to deter me from looking further into the piece, just as being able to see it wouldn't compel me to look at it.

Huh?
I was under the impression there aren't any censorship rules yet. . .

I think they are in the process of being all drawn up. But apparently they have started asking some artists to censor some things.

Censorship is definately being discussed. It worries me. I like the idea of freedom to choose. I'm just hearing a lot of different ideas and am worried.

Okay, yeah, I found this which says they're asking the first thumbnail on photorealistic nudity to be censored.

I don't believe this will hurt etsy.
