Yes, the subject has been raised. But I think, simply put...
If Etsy puts a catagory for Adult Art, and people who choose to create adult art,use this catagory, then this would easily be settled. If by chance 'porn' happened to be in a shop, then it should be flagged. At that point, administration has the job of deciding if it is worthy of removal, or not.
That simple, no problem.
All this discussion seems a bit over the top. JMO.
Thanks for listening, administration... hope you can work this out. dmriceart

There is no way that I would put my very tame nudes in an adult art section.

Then we just go back to square one, defining what is 'adult'.

I don't think nude bodies should be considered "adult" art. Kids have them too.

I would expect that administration's definition of the realistic nudes would be utilized as the definition of Adult Art.
mLee, I agree, your artwork is General Public.

I won`t list in an "adult Art" section.
I don`t paint for "adults", I paint for people.
I won`t have my work euated with pornography in any way shape or form.

I also do not believe that my work is adult art.
I find censorship abhorant. I was once told that my watermarks were "terrible" and that they looked like graffitti but putting censor bars over my work as far as I'm concerned would be tantamount to defacement.

There is no way I would put my photos in an adult art category, it would be absurd. And I think the site would greatly suffer from ghettoizing work that offends a small minority of people. I know I would sooner leave, probably even if I didn't have nudes.
