pendant+chain=handmade?

I have been here not long ago. I am not sure if I am wrong. So I'd better consult you at forum. I searched some stores just now and found that there is seller selling supplies here such as pendants and chain and wire. Some other sellers selling necklace. And just curious that if combination of those pendant and chain can be considered as handmade?

This is an Etsy admin decision, but most feel "handmade" doesn't mean putting a chain on a pendant. Flag the item, and let admin decide...

this is a good question. I have many necklaces I sell for very cheap at craft shows which are basically just pretty pendants on nice chains. Then I add a clasp. I do not consider these handmade myself and do not sell them here. The ones I post here are ones where I do wire wrapping on the stones to make the pendant or some such. If the pendant is being sold exactly as I buy it, I do not consider it hand made. (IMO)

I think that if it is handmade or hand assembled it is allowed.

It doesn't matter what "most feel" like, if it is allowed it is allowed, and flagging unnecessarily gums up the works, creates more work for admin with no reason, and gives others cause for griping because their valid complaint has seen no attention yet.

Pendants and chains and wire are supplies, so I am not sure why you would want it flagged.

Supplies are allowed to be sold here.
As far as the pendant and chain, I personally do not condsider putting a premade pendant on a premade chain "handmade", but Etsy's stance may be different. I would contact admin with any questions about what is and isn't allowed.

putting a pre-made charm on earwires is "handmade", so I would thing assembling a necklace would also be.

In etsy Dos and Don'ts, etsy dose accept that things sold here is hand assembled.
