There was a survey done in the uk a few years ago, apparently, the majority of families are only 2-3 pay cheques away from being homeless.

Lay-offs are getting more and more frequent. I guess it could be fairly easy to end up homeless in that case. Yikes.

It's sad, but doesn't sound like a new problem- People who get laid off often become homeless. How many of us could keep our homes if we had no jobs (especially if we bought million-dollar condos)?
