Um, what? How does having or not having certain friends prove or disprove one's openmindedness/lack of racism? (By the way, every last human on the face of the earth has a bit of prejudice/racism. It's what we do when faced with it, that matters)

Well put and true.
I agree. Whether or not you dated or have been friends with someone is not an indicator of your prejudice.
My fil claims to have many black friends. You should hear the racist crap that comes out of his mouth. He often embarrasses those he's with.

color, ethnicity (oh and someone PLEASE explain why German doesn't count as an ethnicity), culture, etc, goes in the blank.

it has a lot to do with where you live too. If you live in a place without much diversity you're statistically less likely to have friends of various races
