Original Post

Good Weds morning! It's the middle of the week and we are getting close to the weekend!

Before I go on to introduce the shop owner of the day, I'd like to annouce that I have two unexpected opennings in the sign-up list for these spotlights. If you're interested and would like to be included in the interviews, please go to www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=6476631 , copy and paste the last list you find in the thread and add your name to the days that say (NEED FILLED).

I would like to also say that I, personally, am running a 10% discount on all my prints until Memorial Day. So take advantage of it!

And now, let's get to know Blueberryblonde, who sells miniature journals, hand carved stamps, cocktail hats, stamps, fabric art dolls, stationary, purses, drink cozies, applique birds, watercolors and more! Everything is hand made by her as well!

Check out her shop then come back and chat a bit with her. www.etsy.com/shop/blueberryblonde?ga_search_query=blueberryblonde&g...

1. Who did your banner?

2. Have you been able to add an item per week for this year as you've stated on your page?

@blackfireink: Great first question to get my brain grapes going in the morning.... I made my own banner. =D I downloaded The Gimp and honestly still don't know how to use it to its fullest. I usually just play with the color tweaking & the filters... But I sat down and worked on several renditions of the banner over several days. I kept consulting my husband, who's good at that stuff, to ask "how to" questions. I ended up watching a few youtube tutorials, too. I really wanted to do it myself because I was afraid that if I let someone else do it then something & the DIY aspect would get lost in translation.

@blackfireink: I have been doing pretty well with my once a week goal. I have goofed on it a couple times but I'm not too hard on myself, I like being my own boss.

I am working on improving organization through out my life & home. Setting goals helps me stay on task. (If there are any follow up questions on the topic of staying organized or what I'm working on improving I will elaborate.)

whats your favorite beer?

have you ever tried blueberry beer?

I use a program called PaintNet. It's fairly easy to use and, with some plug-ins you can use Gimp with it.

What do you feel is your favorite item that you've made? Is it on Etsy? If not, where can we view it?

@AllegroArts: oooh, a beer question. Let me ponder this as I sip my morning double Americano.... I enjoy dark beers & black coffees, but I always dress up my teas with honey or lemon.

I use to really like the Belgian imports, with the ceramic cork things... but I've gotten more sensible in my spending and now that I have a mortgage we usually buy Point or Leinenkugel. (WI beers) When I lived in Canada I'd drink Molson. Maybe I like local beers?

I have not tried blueberry beer, but I've heard of it! Once I tried blueberry tea and that was yummy, but I think I'd rather try dying paper with it than drinking it.

blackfireink: I haven't heard of PaintNet, but I do like Picnik.com sometimes.

I really like all the items I've made, but if I've had to choose right now. I'd say the mini journals. They're so cute & chubby. When they come together and I'm holding one it brings me great joy. I really can't wait to make more.

Nice!
I grew up in Wisconsin, im very familiar with Point and Leinies. Point's new line is overall rather disappointing, but the Belgian White was pretty good.
