I have a CuttleBug and it works great on felt!

It's great because you can use sizzix and other brand die cuts on the machine as well.

I don't have anything to add - just bookmarking as I am interested in die cutting, too.

Thanks to all those who have helpfully responded!

I know this thread is old but they have all helped so much when I was deciding on what die cutter to get. I just got the Sizzix Big Kick today. I needed to cut circles out of fabric scraps. IT IS PERFECT! I just cut leather and lightweight cotton as well as felts and fleeces. I don't know how long the die will last but it was totally worth it. I got it at Michaels with a 40% off cupon from here
printable-coupons.blogspot.com/2008/02/michaels-coupons-arts-craft-...
for about $60 bucks. I was very surprised that it works so well!

Perhaps the Sizzex Big Kick is different, but my 'regular, old school' Sizzex does NOT cut through fabric. Cause I tried, and got all in a huff about it.

(just kidding; I use it lots for paper, but was dismayed that it doesn't translate to fabric)

Pazzles, they are great for just about anything, but I called the company directly as they are located in my state, and they might cut fekt she said but the sticky sheet that you place it on would just ruin the felt. They reccommended that you do not cut the felt. I would definately have one if they did. I am researching the silhouette (hope I spelled that right). They are a little more like a vinyl machine, and they might work.

The Wizard cuts through felt.

The Cricut does cut through felt & fabric, i've not done so myself as yet, but have read many blogs/forums where people have done so successfully.

You need to add some interfacing/wondaweb to your material before trying to cut it, to hold it firm.

Also the deep cut housing would be better than the original one.

I have used my sizzix die cutter a lot for cutting felt. there are also places that will make your own design into a die.
I have found them as low as 60 dollars. (for your very own design, that is an awesome price)

I have an industrial vinyl cutter (like a cricut, only bigger)
It is not a good idea to cut felt on your cricut or pazzles. It is to tough to cut through with such a small blade. If you hold the blade up to the felt (looking at the thickness of the felt) and the tip of a blade, it would take a lot of motor power to cut through it. and if your motor goes, say goodbye to your 300 + investment. Do not do it.
