Etsy Customer Service Building in Hudson Valley, NY?

I read in this blog - gossipsofrivertown.blogspot.com/2011/01/ear-to-ground.html - that Etsy is building a customer service office up here in the Hudson Valley. (For those unfamiliar with NY geography, we're about an hour and a half, give or take, north of Manhattan.)
If this is true, is this going to be some sort of a phone bank? A centralized customer service office? The Hudson Valley is starving for jobs; I do hope you hire local workers rather than relocating present employees. :-)

In Hudson? Would definitely be cool. But if it's true...I wonder why all the way up here?

Or maybe they are going to Hipsterize Hudson Valley and make it the new Brooklyn?

Luna - I'm originally from Kingston. Was surprised how much growth has taken place since I moved in '91. IBM was a real hit to them when they left.

I am sure there is not an artist here that would like this job. you would be bored out of your mind by the third day answering the same questions day after day : )

Assuming they *let* you answer questions...

Yep, it's true. My family is from New York and I know the Hudson Valley well. I've backpacked most of the paths through the Catskills.
We'll be sharing more about this soon. Yes, we'll be hiring locally. If you're reading this here and are interested, feel free to convo me. Otherwise, stay tuned for more info.
Why Hudson? It's a great town, we found a fantastic building, and I know so many good people up there.
