HandmadeHotSpot. I like your list. Only thing I haven't done is have any sort of sale....has it worked for you?

I try not to have to relist. And other than last night I have put something new every day on my sight. I just put about 4 new items on my site and have had some lookers even though I am not sure how many folks will really get on etsy with the holidays (but one never knows I guess). I do relist here and there as 20 cents is sometimes the best way for me to go when I am limited on my time. I am doing okay on my jewelery for just starting but not much on cards. But there are a lot of card makers on etsy and everyone has their preferences. I like bold bright colors. But back to your subject...a lot of folks have given great thoughts. But here and there I will relist something if I don't have time for ging through the process of listing something new.

Hi Cotaproducts

I would work on pics, for example on the item below

www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=36452008

it apple fragance but it confused me at the begining because what you are showing in your thumbnail is an actual pic of an apple which makes me believe that you are selling photography. I know the banner says what you sell but I have to agree with mickmickandmack, I will like to see your product, packaging, how the bottle looks.

hope this helps! by the way love your soaps!

I'd recommend taking a new look at your tags. Make sure you include colors (for those searching for items for their treasuries), scents, etc. If your apple soap is a granny smith apple scent, include that! And not just green or red as a color, but variants (if they're accurate), like "apple green" or "red delicious" or "crimson" or "sage." More treasuries = more exposure = more possible front pages (woo hoo!) = more hearts = more sales. :) Good luck! And happy holidays!

the days that i got one sale a day i either renewed, or added a new item

That was my goal last year and I ended up averaging more than two a day for the year.

It's already been said, but listing as many items as I possibly could has helped a lot. Workign on photos all the time, continuing to expand and refine your product line, launching new products, twitter/flickr, etc.

this is a great thread idea, i have to say.

not that my shop is really successful enough for me to make suggestions with much experience to back up what i'm saying, but i think that working on photos constantly would help. actively promoting on a daily basis, adding new items whenever you're able, working on descriptions and the art of tagging, etc. all of these things will help i'm sure!
