Original Post

I actually remembered to put on some of my jewelry before work the other day, and a couple of the girls in my office want to see some of my items that aren't on etsy (due to camera malfunction.)

Any ideas on a cute way to display about 20 pairs of earrings, 10 or so bracelets, and about 20 necklaces?

I tried to search, but found stuff good for shows, but nothing little.

It needs to be small and neat.

Thanks!

i have a small ornate picture frame that i put fabric in and use it to display earrings (see the kissy earrings photo)

also- if you go to a place like marshall's or TJ maxx- they sell standing towel racks for small hand/guest towels. those are awesome for bracelets!

magpiedc,

i love those ideas for shows, but i don't think they'd work for the office.

i was thinking something a little more inconspicuous. i work in an office, so I need to be able to just drop it off on someone's desk so they can look when they have a moment.

otherwise, we get hassled for socializing.

! oh !

could you cut a ahpe our of cardstock (like the shape of a necklace display thing) and then, say, punch holes for the chain to go through and then put it in a big inner-office type envelope?

make some little (or big) cards with scrapbook paper, punch holes to put earrings thru (or necklaces or bracelets), put the whole thing in a neat little ziplock bag (you can buy them in bulk at the craft store), put a little price sticker on the bag, put them all in a pretty little bowl or tray and let people just sort through them and pick out the ones they like....

The best yet is an old leather briefcase, open it up and hang things from the inside of the cover. Display bigger things in the bottom. Cut a couple of lift out trays for inside. Everything goes back in when your done

Maybe get a jewelry display tray and liner for the items like from FireMountaingems.com or RioGrande. If you can afford it there are some display things that roll up which would be quite nice.A small earring display like the picture frame is goo if you have somewhere to leave it.I have used cut up foam board and pinned it in to take to a work setting.A computer case will hold as will some zipper bags a display tray or two.Bet even someone here on Etsy could make you something to use like ManicButterfly if you convo ask and say how much you want to pay.I love my jewelry cart and display trays for storing and for showing.

Could you maybe make a scrapbook type thing with those clear pages, and on each page, pin the earrings through the paper and wire the necklaces, braclets through the paper and then slip the paper into the protective sleeve?

That way, it's like a jewelry portfolio.
