Hi everyone, I apologize in advance if this has been covered- I searched, I swear! But I was wondering about people's "philosophies" on what images they send in to represent their work when applying to shows. More specifically, do you send 3-5 pics of a " cohesive body of work" or do take the opportunity to show your range of materials or skills? For example I do a lot of enameling, do I send pics of my different enameled necklaces, earrings and pendants only, or do I send pics of some enameling work plus my my more metal based work, even though they don't necessarily go together? Thoughts?
Thanks!

I'm wondering too, I've started looking into craft shows too, but I'm super lost on the entire ordeal.

I know right? Anybody have any experience with this? I feel like I should send a range, but then I also feel like it looks like I have no focus.

It all depends on the show some require you to send images of your work and of your display area as well

Do you think you could email them and ask what they're looking for in particular when it comes to the photos?

Right, I am applying to several that ask for 5 images, 1 being the display. What do people think about sending images with more then 1 piece in it? Advisable?

You are talking about juried shows, obviously.
Do a little research, does the show management want to diversify their vendors, ie how much do they already have in your field? (Jewelry is usually as competitive in the B&M world as it is here).
A very polite inquiry may give you some clues.
Otherwise show off your best in work and photos (not always the same), maybe in a range of price points.
