I am happy to announce that this is the 2nd year anniversary of the Etsy baby shower!!
Each shower gets bigger and better. This year to help celebrate and to ring in the New Year, we will be holding a special LIVE VIRTUAL SHOWER in the Etsy Virtual Labs.
Hats off to Vanessa from admin who will be helping to put this together.
We have a lot of kinks to work out since we know there will be more moms and gifts donated than we have time in the labs to show. We are currently working on ideas to make everything go smoothly and to be fair to all the mom's and gift givers.
There will be a couple of new rules to follow for participation and we will review the rules that are in place now.
At this moment what we need are all the mom's who would like to take part and all the shops that would like to send a free gift to a special mom.
We would like the shops that are donating to be sure to list your item in your shop. If the item is already in your shop, then you must agree to allow the mom to make a purchase and then mark the item as paid.....this will ensure that there are no fee avoidance involved with currently listed items. It will also allow feedback for donating shops since they are in fact sending items.
If you are making a new listing and have no pictures for an item not currently in your shop, you may list as a reserve shower gift pif (.20)...this way you will incur minimum fees on the gift.
So for now please let us know in this thread if you are going to be a new mommmy before March 1st or if you were a new mommy November or December and were missed last shower, and we will include you as well.....
If you would like to donate a gift, add your name and let us know if you wish to donate more than 1 gift

To sum up the picks for the Virtual labs:
we'll have a live drawing from a lottery of names. We want to collect the usernames of the moms of the first babies born in 09. And we'd like to coordinate with sellers who would like to donate baby shower gifts. A lottery of sellers will also be able to briefly show off their items to the live audience in the VL - great for babies and great for sellers too!

I am due in Feb.. Date is up to the OBGYN doing the surgery. I'd like to participate and offer a gift. On Jan 10, I will be back online selling, and will mark a gift.

Mom-to-be in one week with a little guy. If I don't go into labor first, my OB has scheduled a C-section for January 9th. :)

Oh! We have another mom that hasn't come into the thread yet and she is due the 9th as well!!
Don't worry, hopefully your little one will be here before we start the Virtual shower in the labs and then you can show off pictures of the little one@!!!
Right now we are just gathering names and info :)

I am due March 22 - hopefully I can participate as a mom next go-round!
