RULE # 5
The most important rule....
You must have fun

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you make.

I grew up on the East Coast (Pittsburgh area). Moved to the P.N.W. in 2001 (Navy). Started making candles for friends and family around summer 2003. Then found a natural way of making candles with Soy. I just started selling candles on ETSY in November 2008. You can find my candles in Port Townsend, WA (the candle shop) and Poulsbo, WA (hearts & home spun).

Thank You for Checking us out.

Hi Rustic Candles, thanks for the invite. I'm also bicoastal- I lived in New York State for a number of years and now live in Seattle. My work can be found in a couple places around Seattle - Frank and Dunya and City Trees Furniture Gallery.

I paint bunnies and other animals and make sculpture.

Hi There!

I'm another transplant....grew up in New York and New Jersey, moved to Seattle in 94, then to California and Texas, then back to Seattle, now in Oregon. I make bath products and am currently negotiating with a local shop to make their own line for them. I'm a big fragrance fiend and love mixing things up......I just opened a shop on etsy in December after buying on etsy for ages.

My husband and I are working on a joint shop but that's not open yet. Here's my spa product shop!

I am so glad you started this : )

I know that there are alot of Northwesterners on here selling, as you can tell by the "Shop Local"

Sales have slowed way down for me. I try to keep my prices affordable and have even come down on a few items.

I grew up in Iowa and lived there for 21 yrs. I ended up here in Seattle via Minnesota (brrr)....California (ahhh) and have lived here in Seattle area for over 28 yrs. and love it!!

I have been knitting/crocheting since I was 12 yrs old., not by choice but out of boredom. I was bedridden at the age of 12 for over a year. The nice neighbor lady taught me how to crochet and knit over that period of time. I then made potholders, poodle dog bottle covers, etc. and sold them to the neighbors, that is when I became a salesperson.

I always wanted to have my own business but it was too expensive to do it and now Etsy has given me that chance to fulfill my dream.

During 911 I lost my job amongst a thousand other people and decided being a secretary for over 20 yrs. was not the road I wanted to keep going down. I wanted to work for myself and I now do the famer's markets and holiday bazzars and Etsy : )
