Cheese and crackers, now I've got some jackass etsycallout.wordpress.com/2009/10/16/darwin-award-fat-daddy-sweets/ talking trash about me for having wonderful friends who helped me raise the money to get licensed!
If I weren't so pissed, I'd give up and close shop completely.
Oh, and for anyone who cares, I DID NOT STEAL THE NAME OF FAT DADDY SWEETS FROM ANYONE!!!!

damn.
hitting a large animal in the night is one of the scariest things I've experienced as well. I hope no one got hurt.
obviously some horses did, which is sad, but I hope no people were. in some states if livestock gets on the highway and a driver hits one going 55 because that's the speed limit, the driver is automatically at fault because livestock is worth more than car travelers to the local economy.
__________
Three people are still in the hospital. Another five had some bumps in bruises. I think that's what the paper said...
I can just imagine the loss the horses' owners are experiencing. Not only were they beautiful horses, they were polo horses. The owners did agree to pay all medical expenses and fix the cars, which is good.

@fatdaddy sweets
I'm so sorry this has happened to you! Don't worry you will overcome! It's unfortunate that because you have had so much success some angry stranger (who doesn't even know you) would want to hate on you and do something so awful. I hope everything works out for you. I'm looking forward to when your shop is open again!
Warm regards,
Jme

Don't ever give up. Don't let them get you upset. They even stated you had items being pre-ordered to get the money. Now I'm sorry, but a pre-order is not a handout. You still have to make the items and people are still getting what they paid for. Hell, many of those lovely home businesses allow you to pre-sale their products to get the money you need to start up.
Hang in there. Don't forget that we're behind you!

LOL @ Sky. I love the comment about your sister.
FatDaddy. Don't you dare let anyone or anything get to you. You got it? We are all in this together and the way to get back at them is be successful. And you know you can do it. You did it before.

Aww, thanks ladies. I appreciate it!
Don't worry, I'm not giving up. Shoot, my husband wouldn't let me. He said now it's a matter of principle. :)

I thought I would share some good news with you all, our local paper did an article on my situation this last week. Thanks to them, I'm taking the licensing exam on November 5th.

FatDaddy - Can you explain why you did not seek licensing? There has been no information explaining your error. What made you unaware of the requirements for food service preparation?
