The big Orange Etsy button has been on the left side of my shop's page ever since I started out. What are you so upset over? The big ETSY is much more intrusive than the little gift guide button.

I don't like it because it is not something that I want my buyers to see.... I don't want them to think it is something that i put there..... I want them to think of my shop for their gifts... Not everyone elses... Don't want to be greedy, but gosh I do run a business....

If I wanted everyone to shop elesewhere I would not put any items in my shop at all.....

Very true that the Etsy logo has always been there, but there is a BIG BIG difference. How many people actually click on the ETSY orange banner? I would think the percentage is very low. Now the new Orange box with the present that very prominently displays the words "Gift Guide" is a whole other animal.

Changing my avatar is in a way advertising for the gift guide. In a negative way, but it's still advertising. I'm not about to give it any more space in my shop than it already has.
