Welcome! The purpose of the AWEteam is to actively participate in, and promote the event of FirstFridayArtWalk on etsy.
First Friday Art Walk on etsy was established June 2009, is a global event, taking place online at etsy, on the first Friday of every month. It is for all of the etsy community - buyers and sellers and admin alike, to help promote awareness and publicity for our stores.
To participate:
#1. Use the tag "firstfridayartwalk" for items you wish to include in the artwalk
#2. Use the tag "ffaw fine art" for fine art items (optional)
#3. Make a store section for your firstfridayartwalk items (optional)
To promote (suggestions):
#1. Make flyers and pass them out locally, and include with every sale you make.
#2. Post your artwalk items on your various social media-blogs, facebook, twitter
#3. Make First Friday Art Walk stickers to add to your packages, and outgoing mail, etc.
#4. Announce your FFAW items on this forum, and on our facebook fan page. www.facebook.com/pages/First-Friday-Art-Walk-on-etsy/276539316289
Meanwhile, here's what you can do till next First Friday rolls around!
#1. add your new listings links here
#2. add your new treasury links here
#3. engage in conversation and encouraging comments
#4. cross promote, and tell us of places to promote

This looks really great- I am excited to get a team conversation going! I have a question I would like to pose-- how many times do you all relist your items? Has anyone seen better times to relist say in the morning or at night?

I used to relist about every 2 months. Then I cut back to doing it in the expiration month. Views jump on the relist day especially on weekends, but not sales. I've also seen a small benefit to letting things expire; then they go on the Time Machine the last day.

I love being a part of this team. We have fun! There are many different awesome artisans and crafts people represented here. I promote AWEteam and Firstfridayartwalk many ways FB, forums, contacts with people, my blog, my listings in my shop and most of all when I sell something to someone I mention FFAW as well. I am a co moderator and would love to moderate and answer questions people may have. I am on the computer often so I am available to help throughout the day. I am not available in the evenings or at night though. I am also one of our teams Facebook administrators. What do you do to promote our team and FFAW?
