Original Post
people are getting muted for standing up and saying that it wasn't okay for etsy to post a blog article by someone plugging their non-handmade products with direct links and calling for a boycott on lots and lots of etsy sellers?
now, a long time after the fact?
wtf?
i mean i read a lot of that thread and people were upset but i could see where it was coming from, and everything they were saying was true, at least all that i read...
and etsy still has the boycott thingy up and the blog post. they posted a small "counter" thing that they didn't promote much at all, when they promoted the boycotting one like crazy.
what is going on?

I have a question about muting.. does that effect your ability to convo people, or is it only no posting in the forums?

sydney,
it's only on posting in the forums if you are forum muted.
you can be convo muted for sending too many convos at once and that one is only on convos. but then you can respond to convos, you just can't initiate any.
i have experienced both, both as misunderstandings.

Okay, I was just thinking of that when the first user got muted over this..
I wonder what admin has to say about their actions on this.

admin will say nothing other than insinuate that people have done things wrong that they haven't done wrong and shut down any discussion of it.
that's what they did to me.
they won't provide answers, it's the other etsians who will do that.
:)
