I have been looking all over the Wired article. Does anybody have a direct link to it?

Gadgetgirl: That was one of the only two I was able to find on their site.

Sammade: Is that from today's issue? The comments he made weren't very flattering to most of the people. What a bum!

I wanted to read it, because it caused all this extra traffic and I wanted to see what in the article was driving people here

I'm not sure to be honest -- they were passing it around in the Red Room. And they're not very flattering at all!

I remember seeing that alchemy request. Makes me glad I didn't bid on it

I had no idea I was published! Or that I had been had!!!!

The author of that article was so difficult to work with! He initially declined my Alchemy bid, but then came back some time later requesting the design on a beer stein. And requiring an almost immediate turn-around! When I gave him my time-line for such a project, he requested just how many steps could be left out, as he was in a rush to receive it since it was going to be a gift of some sort!

And once I mailed it, I never heard another word from him -- not an acknowledgement that it arrived safely, no feedback, just nothing!!!!

I am not sure from his article why I was rated so poorly when he didn't seem to have anything negative to say about the end result.

I'm not sure whether to be excited that something I made is actually in a magazine, or whether to feel incredibly hurt and used?!?!?!?!

Thanks for letting get that out, and for posting the link to the article! Milly

Me too. He was a real jerk to work with. I almost cancelled on him because he wouldn't pay up.
My husband did the woodburning and it is nice. He called it a canvas...geezz. Tells you how much he knows. Can't tell wood from a canvas.

But like they say, "bad press is better then o press"

"bad press is better then no press"

I think we should send the magazine a review of his article and tell them it sucks

I'll review it for ya :P

I agree that the article is pretty sucky..

first of all, calling Etsy the *DIY E-bay* is just so completely wrong it's not even funny

second, alot of what was made takes time, and everything I saw in that article looked REALLY good! like.. REALLY good!

whoever wrote it should get his testicles put in a vice.. or maybe one of the jewelry makers can use them as components.. hehe seal them in resen as a trophey, maybe..

what a jerk

sorry.. I'm not even involved in it, and I don't know most of the people who are, but I'm offended FOR you!
