This is the simplest, cleanest version of our Dexter modern mailbox series. It is shorter than the “Classic” and “Custom” versions, but built with the same thick 3/16” plate sides. Its handcrafted steel plate assembly will hold up to anything while providing an elegant and attractive addition to your home.

We build and deliver this mailbox in clean raw hot rolled steel. Much like the grain in wood, this dark steel finish comes with a variety of heat marks from the raw steel cooling in the steel mill. Most people let this mailbox develop a handsome rust patina over time. The pictures show a product that has already rusted over completely. When your product arrives, it will be dark grey in color (please scroll through the thumbnails to see examples of each).

LOCKING: We offer our Dexter series in NON-LOCKING and LOCKING versions. The Locking option adds a door behind the main front door with a slot at the top.

POSTS: We offer two types of STEEL POSTS for mounting.

Option 1: Set in Concrete -- This option allows you to set the post into concrete up to 18 inches. The entire length of the post is 60 inches. The post comes with a mounting plate that will align with the pre-cut holes in the Dexter mailbox.

Option 2: Existing Footing -- This option is 42″ long and comes with a bolt plate for mounting to an existing footing or pavement.

This mailbox looks like it could withstand an atomic bomb blast and still come out unscathed. Looking forward to a nice rust patina developing .. highly recommend!
