This is a simple pattern for a halter top worked seamlessly (except for attaching straps) and without increases or decreases. Shaping is achieved by stitch selection and increasing hook size. So easy and the result is beautiful! The skirt part of the top is worked in a knit look stitch that in my opinion looks just like stockinette!
Pattern is written in standard U.S. Crochet terms and assumes basic stitch knowledge.
The pattern is based on standard measurements so you can use ANY hook and ANY yarn you would like. Plus, there is NO GAUGE! You get the sizing you want just by following the standard measurement chart. Chart includes sizes newborn to adult XL, plus instructions on how to get your own custom size.
Sample is size 4-6 and is made using less than one skein of Cascade Heritage, a sock weight yarn. I used an H and J hook (larger than what is normally used with sock weight yarn) to get a lightweight fabric with a nice drape to it. I love using sock yarn for clothing because of the fabric it creates and because it’s washable!
