This rectangle glass tile paperweight contains an image of a Pelican Stained Glass Cartoon. The design was created by Edward Burne-Jones for William Morris' Morris & Co. and is set against the Willow pattern wallpaper print designed by Morris. It may be used as a paperweight or displayed vertically on a stand, which is included.

The rectangle paperweight measures 2 3/8 x 3 7/8 x 3/8" (60 x 98 x 10 mm) and weighs 5 ounces with a signed, matching felt bottom. The tile is American made and has a rounded pencil edge. Because the tiles are individually made the size may vary slightly.

The clear, plastic display stand is adjustable and measures 2 1/16" high, 2" wide, and 2 3/4" deep.

This design is a colored pastel finished drawing from the Morris & Co. East window of St. Martin's Church, Brampton, Cumbria, 1880-1881. The windows at Brampton are one of Morris & Co's masterpieces. After the windows were complete, Burne-Jones used colored chalks to transform his design into this highly finished work. The pelican feeding its young with drops of blood from its breast is a Christian emblem for the sacrifice of Christ on the cross.

Paperweight Care: Please do not display in direct sunlight as it may cause fading of the image. Glass may be cleaned with glass cleaner.
Pendant Care: Glass jewelry is sealed on the back with a non-toxic, water-based product which makes it resistant to water, but not waterproof. Please do not subject it to wet conditions like in the shower or while exercising. Extended direct contact with the skin will shorten the life of the clear sealer on the back. Glass surface may be cleaned with soft cloth.

My Custom Paperweight Section has paperweights in many shapes and sizes. Digital "Camera-Ready" artwork is required that does not need changes other than re-sizing and/or cropping. Preparing and locating artwork is NOT included in price of a custom paperweight.
Paperweights requiring typesetting are listed separately in price menu. Digital photo file(s) should be in JPG or PNG format with size of the photo as large as possible for best resolution. Yes, I have a Custom Paperweight Section. Each custom listing shows two prices: "With Buyer's Artwork" is when you provide the artwork (may be a typeset quote or an image), "Typesetting Required" is when I typeset the quote/copy for you in your chosen typeface.
You may choose both the typeface style and color, and background color. A Typeface Selection Sheet is available with 22 choices. A gold, copper, silver, brown, black or custom color may be chosen for the border on edge of the glass. (Please inquire to see if a custom color is available.) Turnaround time for a custom order is usually 2-4 business days, providing the paperweight style and quantity is in stock.

Some of my items have a quantity of 1 listed since they are custom made with a choice of border color or pendant bail finish. Because of this you will often see an "Only 1 Available" or "Only 1 Left" message below the listing photo. Please ignore this because more are usually available.
The quantity cannot be increased at checkout. If a greater quantity is needed contact me to customize a listing with the desired quantity and shipping discount.

You may purchase gift wrapping for a charge of $3.00 PER ORDER. Items are wrapped in tissue, then in a square bubble-wrap bundle. Gift wrap, ribbon, and gift card are added. Gift boxes are not used. If you chose the "Gift Message" option I can add your message to a gift card. Indicate the gift recipient's address if it is different from the address listed on your account.

I do not offer Free Shipping because shipping is never really "free". It either must be rolled into the item price or covered by a subscription membership. I feel including it in the price is deceptive and overcharges customers who purchase multiple items in an order. This is especially true for international customers who pay high shipping charges and VAT fees.
My shipping charges are honest and accurate. When ordering multiple items the most economical, safe method is chosen and any shipping overage over $1 refunded.

Yes, shipping upgrades to Priority Mail and Express Priority Mail are available at checkout. Any shipping overcharges due to zip code will be refunded when label is printed. 😊
