Moissanite is a rare mineral that was first discovered in a meteorite. It is now lab created from silicon carbide. It has a hardness of 9.25 on the Mohs scale, and is harder than a sapphire or ruby. This stone also has almost 2.4 times the fire of a diamond and 10% more brilliance.

This stone is 4 mm and set in a tapered 14 karat gold bezel. it is nestled in a band of sterling that has been cast from an actual twig.
