This unique clock was made from a recycled 78rpm vinyl record.

The record/clock is 12 inches in diameter. (12 inches round.)

The record is a Living Shakespeare recording of HAMLET.

There is a drawing of William Shakespeare on the record/clock face.

Hamlet was William Shakespeare's longest play. He wrote it @1600 and it tells the tragedy of Hamlet. Michael Redgrave plays the part of Hamlet in the spoken play.

Made for Shakespeare fans.

I found a set of Living Shakespeare records at a local thrift shop. The records are in excellent condition and don't show any wear and tear. They were recorded in 1961.

Records are perfect for recycling into clocks. It's easy to insert a clock mechanism into the holes in the middle of records. Although they are made of vinyl, the clocks are sturdy. Don't hang near a heat source, and they won't warp. Heavy card-stock paper was cemented to the back of the record to give it more structure. Records aren't biodegradable and don't break down and linger forever in landfills. I'm happy to remake them into objects that have a new use.

A hanger was added to the mechanism on the back of the clock that ensures the clock lies flat against a wall.

The last photograph shows an example of a 12-inch clock hanging on my wall.

All clocks are tested in my to make certain they are telling perfect time before shipmet.

Needs an AA battery to operate, which is not included. A photograph of the mechanism on the back of the clock is shown.

Instructions for set up are included with purchase. It's very easy.
