This unique soft and luxurious bandana square scarf is approximately 26 inches square. It feels really soft to the skin, and has a beautiful glossy shine on one side and matte on the other. This hand block printed bandana is inspired by the Indian Kathakali dance form which is a classical dance drama and who's characters have elaborate faces painted through which their expressions are passed through. Wear it as a neckerchief, head band, a hair tie or hang them as a cute accessory on your bag, or take it to that hike trip.

CARE
Be respectful of the fiber and give it a gentle hand wash for the first few washes. Be aware of any color bleeds in the first few washes. Thereafter, you may machine wash separately in cold water on a delicate cycle, hang dry.

BLOCK PRINT PROCESS:
Block Printing is an ancient printing technique especially with the use of vegetable dyes.
First a wooden block is carved with the pattern, then fabric is then prepared with multiple washes to make the fiber ready to take the dye. With the wooden block, each design is printed a stamp at a time. With the process of multiple printings and washing before the final product is placed in a dye bath of flowers and barks, the fabric goes through the hands of the block printer and dyer with utmost care. That same care is passed onto the consumer who wishes to take part in this process of honoring the craft and the earth that gives us so much.
