******Some Quick Tips!******
I personally love a lot of my patterns done as redwork or blackwork. Using only two strands of floss, and mainly using a plain backstitch. Sometimes using French knots for the little dots in the patterns.
Another thing I'd recommend is taking your pattern to the craft store, and simply looking at all the floss colors available, and grabbing the colors that sing to you the most. They have so many colors of floss, and floss is dirt cheap. Grab a handful of the colors you like the most, the ones that stick out to you. Then when you get home, you can do whatever. Make it all one color. Make it with two colors. Or, include all the colors you love.
There's no wrong way to embroider. That's part of the beauty of it.
But in the meantime, there are so many ways my patterns can be embroidered. Just have fun with it.
That's the most important thing. I truly hope you can just have fun embroidering this pattern.
