This listing is for the PDF of a crochet pattern to make your own Pancake Lovey, and it is -not- an actual, finished blanket. There are 2 files available: one is higher resolution, clocking in at about 5.5 MB with higher quality images, and the other is lower resolution, clocking in at about 623 KB, a much smaller file, with lower quality images, so you can take your pick!

My first nephew was born recently, and I had to crochet him something fun! A Pancake Lovey! Loveys typically have some kind of cute doll-like head attached to a security blanket. My version has a happy, sleepy butter pat pillow buddy sewn to a security pancake!

I would say that you should be an advanced beginner with crochet and fairly familiar with reading crochet patterns and working in the round.

In this pattern, there's a small table of contents on the cover page, so you know which pages to print if you just want to print out the pattern itself. I formatted the pattern into columns to save space and paper, which meant the photos shrunk down a bit, so then I added back in larger versions of the photos on the last pages of the document, in case you wanted them. However, if you just want the pattern instructions, you only have to print out a few pages.
