Anatomy Brain Art

This anatomical brain is depicted in the signature Ork Posters style. I am the original designer of this style of the neighborhood map where the letters of the neighborhood's name are twisted and turned to fit inside the area of the neighborhood. All other similar looking artwork is a knock off of the original design I created in 2007.

I choose to use high quality print methods, which require me to print in large runs. Therefore, I am not able to offer custom options.

The B&W version is offset litho printed with eco-friendly inks on matte, recycled poster weight paper. This version does not have the "Thinking Cap" type at the bottom (a more scientific look!).

Our screen prints are silkscreen printed with water based inks on uncoated, poster weight paper (recycled when available). They are slightly higher in price because of the more hands-on nature of the screen printing process.

12.5" x 15": Classic B&W Poster

Posters are rolled in a plastic sleeve, then shipped in a sturdy cardboard mailing tube. Small posters (11x14, 11x17, 12.5x12.5, 12.5x15) are shipped in a flat cardboard mailer. Frames ship in sturdy cardboard packaging.

Typical shipping time via the standard option (USPS First Class Mail) is 3-7 business days within the US. This shipping timeline is not guaranteed by USPS. UPS Ground is 1-4 business days depending on zip code. We're happy to work with you to hit your deadline - please send a message for more details.

International shipments ship via USPS First Class Mail International. Select items (unframed Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Canada, Heart, and Brain posters) shipping to Canadian addresses ship via Canada Post.

A screen print is made using a stencil process in which the print's image is superimposed on a very fine mesh screen. Ink is then squeegeed through the screen onto the paper. The result is a less exact print than the professionally printed posters, but the non-professional look of screen prints has become a significant cultural aesthetic. The ink on the prints is thick enough to see a slight bit of depth (and can be felt), whereas on the professionally printed posters, the ink soaks into the paper and is flat. Our digitally printed posters are printed by an employee-owned press here in Chicago, and screenprints are done either by us in our studio or by other printers in the city.
