Lady Viola is a lacy top-down shawl that reminds me of a field of violets. It’s perfect for most lighter weight yarns. I especially love it crocheted in Wolle’s Color Changing fingering yarn. This shawl a half-octagon shape (four wedges) so that is sits nicely on the shoulders. Instructions are provided for two shawl sizes. Pattern is written and partially charted.

Advanced Beginner to Intermediate - - - US terminology used

Materials: Regular size [larger size]

500-550 [600-650] yds of fingering weight yarn.
5.5 mm hook or size that gives a nice drape

Sizes:
Shawl made with fingering weight wool and 5.5mm hook had a 60” wingspan x 24” deep [64” wingspan x 28” deep].
Shawl made with Wolles Color-Changing cotton yarn with 4.0mm hook was 50”x 21” deep [54”x 25” deep].
All sizes after blocking.

Optional: 224 [304] #6 beads and a steel crochet hook, 1.0mm or smaller for adding beads)
