In pique assiette-style, I encircled a focal rose with some light milky and clear pink half-marble tiles, and added pieces from china plates, bits of mirror and gems to the rest of this silver metal tray. ALTHOUGH THE TRAY SHOWN HERE HAS SOLD AT A CRAFT SHOW, I CAN MAKE A SIMILAR ONE FOR YOU!

The tray shown measured 10" x 18" wide from handle-to-handle. But if you order one, i would first need to find a suitable try to work on, so the size would be "to be determined."

Ocassionally I like to show photos which demonstrate the "process" of making one of my mosaic pieces. The last two photos show the piece being grouted and "cleaned up". Often, when I spread the grout over a piece, I almost feel like I am ruining it (see 3rd photo). But then I wipe away with a damp sponge (this takes several passes, and still there is usually a filmy residue left on the mosaic pieces. Then, once the grout hardens over night, I spend a long time, with a toothpick, scraping off the remaining grout along the edges of the pieces. (see last photo) A few passes of Windex and wiping with a paper towel make the pieces shine and sparkle again!

The tray is a perfect size for cups of tea, cookies, desserts or tall glasses of lemonade. A pretty thing to bring out to a porch, or display on top a plant stand in a kitchen, sunny room or covered porch. Or it could be used for perfumes or other toiletries in a bathroom.
