One of my deep dark secrets is the mountain of fabric scraps I am rapidly accumulating.I have vowed to turn as many of them as possible into useful items and here is one example.As a kid I loved the special ornaments we used to decorate our tree and I hope to create ornaments that will become cherished family treasures!

I made this sweet red bird ornament with bits of super soft USA grown organic cotton French terry left over from making apparel.The cranberry red color looks stunning against the brilliant evergreen of a holiday tree!I carefully hand cut and then machine stitched this sweet bird and decided to leave the edges raw.The fluffy fiber edge makes me think of feathers!I securely sewed in a hemp cord for hanging and gently filled it with USA grown organic cotton stuffing.


Measures approximately:

5.5 inches across
2.5 inches tall
