This is a beautiful V neck style necklace made from the very new two-hole diamond beads called Silky, "O" beads, seed beads and Swarovski crystals. I also used the "O" beads cousin, the Tri bead. It is just like an "O" but its a small triangle with a center hole. It can add some great texture to any project. You can compare the two in the second picture. The silky's are similar to Czech Mates tiles but they have a raised design on top and the holes are cut diagonal through them making them a bit challenging! Both these new beads can be found here on Etsy, scroll down to my friend Lisa's shop. This PDF is 7 pages of full color close up pictures and clear computer diagrams on how to stitch together this necklace and a bonus on how to change the pendant portion. We use a modified RAW stitch for this project.
This is a beginner to intermediate level pattern. You should know how to add and end thread and understand good thread tension as well as adding clasp loops, experience with two-hole beads and Right Angle Weave stitch.
New to my patterns? Nervous about spending money on a pattern only to find out it is not well written? Message me and I will send a free pattern to see how my tutorials are laid out. This is for NEW customers only.
Materials needed:
41 Silky Beads
6-7 grams of "O" or "tri" beads
4-5 grams 15/0 seed beads
90 4mm crystal bi-cones
Clasp, I used lobster clasp and extension chain but it can work with any you choose
Beading needles size 10 or Tulip size 11(my fave)
Your fave thread, I use 8 lb Fireline with these Silky beads. I have found that with they can have rough edges so I recommend alb but we do dew through twice so if you only have 6 lb you should be fine. Like any two-hole beads, check your holes prior to stitching with them.
This makes an 17 inch necklace with a 1 inch pendant. There are instructions to change the length included.

With these new, bigger beads like the Kheops, Silky and CZ Mates I recommend using 8 lb and sew through a second time or use 6 lb and double thread. Just like with Superduos, check your holes for plugs and chips.
I have a matching bracelet for this necklace and you can get both tutorials for a discount, click here:
