"Dapple Grey" by Anicka at age 12. Print of original pencil drawing.
I drew this dapple grey horse from a photo I found and loved! I worked on it in my first adult art class at the Spruill Art Center. I learned to use an eraser to draw lines on a graphite background. That's how I created the mane. Don't horses have cool pupils?
Note from Anicka's mom:
- Card size: 4"x5.5"
- Notecards are high-quality prints made on very heavy card stock from Anicka's original paintings and drawings.
- Each card comes with a high-quality white envelope.
- Sets are packaged in clear resealable cello bags.
You can buy individual cards and sets of all my designs in my ArtbyAnicka store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/artbyanicka
I draw pretty much every day! We take my best pieces and have high-resolution scans and notecard-size prints made from them at Digital Arts Studio in Atlanta. Then we fold and package them all up at home (I've gotten really good at that!).
I'm a kid who loves art, and I use it to help others. I give the proceeds from my art to Tabitha's Heart. It's a really great ministry our friend Miss Rachel started to help kids in the slums of Kolkata, India, go to school. My parents and I went to Kolkata in December, 2013, to see Miss Rachel's work. It was fun to meet the kids we sponsor and actually see the people I'm raising money for! Spending time in the slums there taught me that life is really, really hard for some people... and I have way more than I need!
So, be sure to look at all my different designs. They make great gifts for people like teachers or just about anybody! I hope you'll tell all your friends about Art by Anicka and Tabitha's Heart!
Love,
Anicka :-)
