The White House is the official residence and principal workplace of the President of the United States, located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C. It has been the residence of every U.S. president since John Adams in 1800. The house was designed by Irish-born James Hoban and built between 1792 and 1800 of white-painted Aquia Creek sandstone in the Neoclassical style.

In spite of a number of major renovations, the exterior walls are the same ones put in place more than 200 years ago. Enjoy building a 3D model of one of the most renowned historical buildings in the world in 1/200 scale.

ASSEMBLY TIME - at least 10 hours

PRINTED KIT - this paper model kit is delivered unassembled, in a flat kit with all the necessary details printed on 12 sturdy A4 paper sheets. You will need to cut, fold and glue the details according to the set-up instructions.

Things which are not included, but you'll need in order to assemble the model: time & patience, a hobby knife, a ruler, a cutting mat or hard surface to work on, white glue (PVA). A pointed stylus, tweezers and scissors might be helpful.

As a general rule, we recommend our PaperLandmarks kits for anyone from age 14 as building work requires patience, advanced motor skills and ability to read assembly diagrams and instructions. Younger modelers will need adult support and supervision.

Probably these pre-cut models are better for kids and generally beginners in paper model building since they contain less details and no cutting is needed - just folding and gluing:

Paper is sturdy enough but definitely not thick, it's easy to score and cut with a hobby knife (X-Acto or similar). It's not so easy to use scissors as some details are quite small and delicate so we recommend cutting with a knife. We recommend using a white glue (PVA, Elmer's or similar). You can use paper strips or ear picks for gluing tools.

This came so quickly that I was amazed. It is a Christmas present, so I haven't opened it. If the kit inside is even near the quality of the packaging, my nephew is going to be thrilled.
