Would make a wonderful, one of a kind gift, or something to spruce up your home!
So here is the scoop...
1. four 4" x 4" coasters constructed out of hardboard that was primed with three coats of gesso.
2. The painting was done, top and bottom, with Liquitex and Golden acrylic paints. Colors are: black,a pine green,white,and metallic copper.
*please note that the colors may very slightly in these photos from the actual coasters - mostly the shine of the copper color doesn't transmit.
3. The entire coaster was sprayed with FOUR coats of polyurethane to seal and protect from any moisture.
4. 1/8" thick cork is glued to the bottoms
Signed and dated by me on the front corner.
I made one for myself and used it rather roughly for two weeks to ensure that my construction would hold up, although I doubt that anyone would put a coaster through what I did to it:)
These coasters are NOT designed to submerge in water so if they need cleaning use a damp sponge or paper towel and dry it off after wiping.
