THE COTTONWOOD CREATIVES STORY

• The Beginning
It all started during the COVID pandemic when a few friends from Tennessee found themselves pondering a simple question: Do you think people online will want any of this Tennessee art we make? It was a simple question that sparked a journey none of us could have anticipated.

As we sat around—zooming around—discussing our art, a collective idea took shape: Let's Try It! And then, our Etsy shop was born. Admittedly, our initial attempts were somewhat rough, but we are eternally grateful to our first few customers who took a leap of faith with us. Those early days were a whirlwind of learning experiences, from posting art online to mastering the art of timely creation and shipping. Art had always been a leisurely pursuit for us, but now, we were racing against deadlines!

• Growing Pains and Successes
Our path was not without its challenges. From setting up our Etsy shop to tackling shipping logistics and navigating vendor and supply issues, our journey transformed from No One's Going to Buy to We've got to get 100 orders out in the next 2 days!

Along the way, we became well-acquainted with the UPS guy, befriended the staff at our local post office, and perfected our system of assigning tasks to ensure everything shipped on time so we didn’t disappoint our customers.

• Gratitude and Milestones
Since 2021, we’ve been overwhelmed with gratitude for you, our customers. You helped transform us from those first hesitant steps with just a handful of orders to surpassing 10,000 orders and accumulating several thousand 5-star reviews. Your support has been invaluable.

• Meet the Team
Cottonwood Creatives are Ellie, Katie, Joel, Erin, Susan, Nick, Kell, and a host of other friends who rally around us during busy times like Wedding Season and Christmas. And, of course, a special mention must go to Klaus, our ever-watchful Studio Cat, who keeps us company in our creative endeavors.

Thank you so much for being a part of our story. Here’s to many more chapters filled with creativity and community!
