All fabrics are made from 100% cotton. The center 4 blocks of the quilt is called a Rolling 9-Patch. Four different fabrics where used for the rolling 9-Patch pattern and they have solid chartreuse or purple in the outside corners of the block. The inner border is a green with little berries on it. The outer border is the Little Critters ( bunny, raccoon, chipmunk, mouse, squirrel, frog, duck) playing in the leaves with blueberries, raspberries, etc. surrounding them.
The back is a coordinating solid orange fabric.
Size: This baby/toddler quilt is 40" x 40 ".
Machine Quilted
Thread color: variegated yellow to bright green to dark green thread, orange thread
Quilting Design: The quilting is a simple outline quilting just inside the print on the rolling 9-patch. The variegated thread was used on top and the orange was used on the back to blend in. Simple free handed leaves where quilted in the solid chartreuse and purple blocks and in the center of the rolling 9 patch.
This quilt is made of 100% cotton fabrics, and has not yet been washed. 100% cotton will shrink some when washed, which is what gives your quilt that beautiful “quilted” feel. The batting inside your quilt is Warm & White or Warm & Natural Batting, which is a thin, dense batting also made in the USA.
When you wash your quilt for the first time we recommend “Color Catchers” go in the washing machine with it. (Exception is with light colored/pastel fabrics, you should not need color catchers for those.) Some fabrics will have loose dyes and you do not want those dyes to bleed into your other fabrics.
Color Catchers: We recommend 1-2 for baby quilts, 2-3 for laps, 3-4 for larger quilts. Use color catchers on first wash. Throw them in the washing machine with your laundry detergent and quilt, wash like normal. Discard the color catchers after wash.
We recommend cold/cold or warm/cold wash cycle.
Tumble Dry/Line Dry this is our own personal preference.
