A pleasingly symmetrical blond and black wood base curves elegantly to support a ceramic lamp. The lamp suspends, it's delicate arms resting in notches that hold it in place. Long and lean, it's a very contemporary look.

The wood base measures 4” W x 2 3/4” D. Total height with the lamp resting in the base is about 11 1/4". Semi-gloss, painted black interior and side walls create crisp edges against the clear-coated wood front and back. The lighter hue of the ceramic lamp pops within the embrace of the dark interior walls.

This ceramic glaze is a matte blue-green color that resembles an oxidized copper patina. It has a fiberglass wick that will never need trimming or replacing. A good height for the wick is about 1/16-1/8”.
(NOTE: Last 2 photos are included to show scale and suggest that the ceramic lamps lifts out of the base, but it's of a different ceramic part.)

If it's a gift and you want to share in the first lighting, be sure to get some oil! Use “ULTRAPURE/ smokeless and odorless/ liquid paraffin,” for odorless indoor use- always stocked at Hobby Lobby and Michael's. I get mine online.

I've also included a plastic squirt bottle that makes filling the lamp very easy, and a tag with info on adjusting the wick and where to find the oil I recommend. To fill, just lift the stopper and squirt into the top. Can also be used outdoors with citronella oil or other lamp oils, but should not be left outdoors unprotected for extended periods.
Because both glazes and wood vary somewhat, the piece you receive may not look exactly the same as the one pictured, but it will be very similar.


These find there way on mantels, credenzas, table centerpieces- I've even seen them on window sills. Their strong presence also makes them excellent for ceremonial use..
