This handmade photo album is perfect for commemorating an autumn wedding or a family leaf peeping adventure. It’s a stunning choice for storing your photos and mementos in something that is sure to become a treasured heirloom. Don’t leave your loved ones in a box!

The colors of this book capture the essence of a crisp fall afternoon. The handmade cover paper contains pieces of autumn-hued oak leaves and dried grasses. The oak is regarded as the national tree of England and is believed to be a symbol of endurance and long life. The spine is covered in a cream-colored German bookcloth and is bound with a luscious 1.5” orange satin ribbon.

The pages are made of a cream-colored paper with a felt finish (slightly textured) and a feathery deckle edge on the right side of each page, adding to the book’s elegant feel. A great green paper choice, this paper is manufactured by a Green-e Energy Certified paper mill using wind power. Paper filler strips have been inserted between the pages to accommodate the thickness of your added photos – this prevents the album from puffing open when filled.

All of my books are made using only the finest acid-free and archival materials. This photo album is made in the traditional style that you may recall from an earlier time – like the one your grandparents had – refined, yet functional. Your cherished memories deserve a book that’s just as meaningful.

With proper care, your journal or photo album should last for many years. Here are some tips on how to preserve your book:

• Prolonged light exposure can fade the colors of the covering materials of your book, along with any botanical inclusions in the paper. Store your book in a protected location.
• Storing your book upright on a shelf can result in gravity pulling on the binding. Your binding will last longer if you store it flat.
• Botanical inclusions may come loose from the covering paper - this is to be expected. If desired, you can secure the leaf or petal by using a light coat of glue on the back and pressing it overnight with a heavy book (be careful not to squash the ribbon).
