Another butterfly necklace from my "Lepidopterology" (study of butterflies) series - Pendant is made by taking a vintage illustration of a butterfly, applying the paper image to a 1/8" thick wood board and cutting the piece with a laser cutting machine. The reverse is painted black. Hung from an 18" brass chain and adorned with brass beads. Finished with a brass lobster clasp. Butterfly measures about 35 mm wide.
Note: These butterflies are made of PAPER and WOOD. If you wear them in the shower or swim with them on, you'll have a soggy mess hanging around your neck! They'll be just fine for everyday wear, but please be cautious!
