This was an easy and fun project once the gauge was adjusted for my size and for different yarn. My poncho was made with Lion Homeland (#6 yarn) in Aspen Tweed. After several experiments, the cast on for cowl was increased from 30 to 38 stitches. The body of the poncho also needed adjustments to accommodate my measurement of 52" around arms about 6" below top of shoulders. This necessitated more increase rows covering about half the main body. The first 4 increase rows followed the pattern but i continued these about 7 inches down from the cowl. You can see the line where the increase stitches stop and the garment falls in a gentle A-line after that. Fit is perfect and it's really warm!
