Chase away the chill with these super easy, super fast fingerless mittens that you can stitch up easily in a night! What a nice gift for your friends this holiday season... stocking stuffer, gift topper. Sure to please!
Skill level: Easy
Materials: 1 skein of a #5 bulky weight yarn. Be careful not to use one that is too chunky or the pattern will not work out. I have used here Bernat Alpaca (“Luxuriously soft blend of natural alpaca and durable acrylic”. Also works well with Lion Brand Tween Stripes Yarn.)
Size 6.5mm (K) crochet hook
Tapestry needle for finishing off
Stitch marker (this is pretty essential for this pattern as the mitt is worked in continuous rounds that must be tracked)
Stitches: Basic stitches you will need to know (listed in order of appearance):
ch (chain)
sc (single crochet)
hdc blo(half double crochet in back loop only)
hdc (half double crochet)
sl st (slip stitch)
Join
Hdc2tog (half double crochet 2 together)
Other abbreviations:
st - stitch
sts – stitches
ea – each
sk - skip
THIS LISTING IS FOR PATTERN ONLY. It will be emailed to you in a pdf version so as always with crochet patterns there is NO SHIPPING CHARGE!
Thanks for looking and happy stitching!
