I got this set to pierce my 11-year-old daughter's ears for her birthday. Since I knew she would be nervous about it, I thought it would be better than taking her to a store to have someone else do it. She was really worried, so my no-nonsense husband did the job. It didn't go in as smoothly as it should have, but it was easy enough to figure out and made the process extremely quick. We had her take deep breaths, then pushed in the earring when she released the breath.
