This beautiful handbag is crafted from man made leather and has hand painted scenes interpreted by the artist of day of the dead. Day of the dead is a mexican holiday that celebrates the lives of family members after they have passed on.I fell in Love with the day of the dead style of artwork on a trip to Mexico , I love the hand made quality of the style in which it is carved or crafted from tin. I was swept away by the beautiful colors that reflected the life of these adobe style building against the aquamarine water scape, I traveled from each tiny shop emerging each time with a wonderful unfound treasure , of which I would add to my collection, the timeless quality glowed from within each piece making it seem even more part of a puzzle I was constructing into one large work, I would later use as inspiration for my handbag collection.The mexican artists were using mixed media, and I hope to move toward more figurines and hand made furniture. I traveled all over mexico looking for just the right style of work and tried to combine all the styles with my own to create the look you are seeing here This bag has an inner made of silk like material, and has a cell phone pocket inside as well as a handy inside zipper pocket.This bag is one of a kind and no 2 are alike.Own this hand painted piece of art.
