Esme is one of my signature retro styled crochet cushion covers, handmade by me in my Edinburgh studio. I have hand crocheted her with soft pure wool yarns in pretty floral shades including cream, turquoise, red, pink, soft caramel and chartreuse. These colours have a pretty spring freshness and lots of shabby chic charm, which I have added to by using mismatched vintage plastic buttons for her closure.
Her traditional square design pays homage to all those fabulous crochet blankets that your Grandma used to make. For a wee bit of on trend styling she would be perfectly placed on your mid-century sofa or a gorgeous white Eames rocker. Or for a wee bit of shabby chic styling, just imagine how pretty she would look perched on your lovely sofa with it's crisp white slip covers, or maybe even out in your garden on your lovely chippy painted garden furniture... :)

Esme's crocheted design and colour arrangement is the same on both her back and front.
Colours include - cream, camel, turquoise, rose pink, chartreuse and red.
There is an opening along the edge for the insert, it is closed with some pretty mismatched vintage plastic buttons in pink, turquoise, green and caramel.
As with all my handmade cushions, I have added a signature embroidered flower label and a removable crocheted flower swing tag that includes care instructions.
Crochet cover - 100% wool.
Care - gentle hand wash and press out excess water (a handwash cycle in your washing machine would also be suitable), dry flat and re-shape around cushion pad.
To fit cushion insert (not included) - 35cm square (15 inches square)
