This measures 23” tall if you extend the hat to it’s full height. The hat is wired so I’ve bent the tip and it measures 21”. The cage is 7 ½” in diameter and 10 ½” tall. The bride’s skeleton is 6” tall. If you measure the piece with the skirts, it measures 12” diameter.
The witch is made of muslin and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. Her nose is soft sculpted (needle and thread) and she’s been stained with my favorite coffee/vanilla mixture to give her some patina. She was then painted with a combination of acrylic paint, pigma pens, and pastel oil chalk. Her arms, also muslin. Are wired and her fingers needle sculpted and stained.
She’s built over a wire (recycled home décor) bird cage. The cage was dark green and I lightly sprayed it black but didn’t cover it completely so some green still shows through. Her dress is made of polyester fabric. It has puffy sleeves and bead buttons on the center front. There’s a piece of gray and black lace tucked into her her décolletage. The skirt is lined with a dark gray/green fabric. Her hat is cotton fabric with a lined brim and wire in the crown so you can tip and tilt the top of the hat.
The skeleton is plastic and I added cheesecloth tatters and some raw wool “hair”. I’ve attached a lined fabric bottom to the cage that’s made of the same fabric as the lining of the skirt. This piece is One of A Kind. She’s signed “designed and made with love, Lucy” and dated.
