Hello and thank you for viewing my Etsy listing!
This listing is for a print of 'Steampunk Unicorn Damask' by Jayde Hilliard!
This print is produced from my original digitally colored drawing.
You have a choice between two sizes:
Matte 60 lb 8.5" x 11" fine art print.
Matte 60 lb 11" x 14" fine art print.
Use the drop down window to choose your print size/type.
The print will have a small white border on all edges measuring roughly 1/8" on all sides. The title of the print will be written discreetly in this border.
About the art:
Definitely a 'steampunk' influenced creature of mechanism... meant to be ridden and therefore must be 'ride-able'...so I would think the pipework be inside and at a minimal, mostly away from parts one would touch. Other parts being controlled by clockwork in cooperation with the steam components. And LOTS of insulation (though I'm not sure insulation was around then, and if there was, what was used?) I would gather the steam components being in the front, a sort of air intake through the ears and steam being released through the nostrils. Gauges on either side of the neck, speed and various operations through the horizontally moving handles in the front, and clutch/speed and other riding operatives made with the adjustable stirrups at the bottom. All major joints are covered in leather, and all other main structures sheeted with brass (or bronze rather...). Or steel, depending on which model you wanted. Oh, and I was depending on this creature to capture dressage styles of sport, seeing as it is in a dressage pose."
Please be aware that the watermark you see at the bottom of the image is for the auction only. It will not appear on
the print that you will receive. Due to differences in monitors and monitor setting, the colors you see on the screen
may be slightly different than the colors of the print you receive in person. The print is very bright, vibrantly colored, and
beautiful in person!
I only ship Monday through Friday when the post office is open. My local post office storefront is closed on Saturdays.
All prints come signed on the back, but I will happy to personalize a print for you, front or back!
Just drop me a note at the auction's end to let me know what you would like.
About the artist:
In 2010 I earned my Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from UT Arlington. My illustrative artwork is inspired by fashion, nature, pop culture, and human emotions, as well as folklore and old fairy tales.
"Few things are as bright and beautiful as they appear on the surface; nothing is quite as dark and terrifying as it is at first glance. I explore the light side of dark, the dark side of light, the demons we try to ignore, and the beauty we just cannot seem to live without."--© Jayde Hilliard
