Included in this pattern are extensive instructions to make the tail and crown, lots of photographs, and the following applique designs for the crown:
Mermaid
3 small fish
Seahorse
Lobster
Large fish
Water
Seaweed
You can make this! This is an inexpensive, easy project that takes just a few hours to make and gets easier with practice. Make a bunch of Mermaid Tails and Crowns for a special birthday party or make one extra special costume! Choose your favorite colors!. This project requires less than 1 yard of 72" wide felt, a bit more if the felt is 36" wide. I have written this pattern so it is suitable for even beginning sewers, and I am always available to help you if you have any questions.
For this pattern, you will need the following supplies:
Felt
Heat N Bond
Velcro
Coordinating thread
You will need to tape some portions of this pattern together.
