vintage Edwardian bodice ornament / 1910s jewelry / QUAKING ASPEN

A stunning Edwardian bodice ornament set with faceted orange glass. The ornament is large and intricate with an oval frame rimmed with prong-set rhinestones. The inner-ring of the setting features openwork in a stylized leaf motif. The feature stone is a large,orange glass cabochon with a modified ball-cut. The stone is set with an open back. On the reverse of the piece there are four soldered loops, perfect for sewing the ornament to a garment . A couple of the rhinestones are dull and there is tarnish to the metal but overall appearance and condition is excellent.
